Café Salt is part of the Hedehuset Foundation, operated as a social enterprise. This means that any surplus must be reinvested in the business. The entire Hedehuset Foundation is therefore non-profit.

The purpose of Café Salt is not to generate profit but to provide employment initiatives for disadvantaged youth in a realistic setting, where young people experience that their work has meaning.
